The infamous Ken and Alan Show may be coming to your favorite bookstore, library or gin joint.  Or Ken may show up alone, his guitar slung over his shoulder, on THE DO-RE-MI world tour.

Check this page regularly for an updated schedule.

2007

From September 27 through September 30, Ken will be in and out of the saloon at Anchorage Alaska Hilton during Bouchercon, where The Do-Re-Mi will get honored as a finalist for the Shamus Award.

On Thursday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m., at the Sisters in Crime, San Diego Chapter meeting, Ken and Alan will attempt to persuade a roomful of women that their reputation as misogynists is the result of a plot by jealous and far less talented authors.

On October 13, Ken will cross the burning sands to Tempe, Arizona, hoping to entertain a gathering of an international women's organization called P.E.O. that raises money for women's education. According to unconfirmed rumor, we'll gather from 4 to 6 or 7 p.m. at the Pyle Center, part of the Tempe Public Library complex.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, Ken and other contributors to the Hollywood and Crime short story anthology will converge at the Mystery Bookstore in Westwood and hang around as long as necessary to satisfy the throng of admirers or hecklers.

The Men of Mystery all day luncheon happens on November 3 at the Irvine Marriot. Fifty writers, all men, do their best to entertain about a million fans, mostly women. Since this may be the only shindig in American that doesn't have a website, shoot Ken an email if you want to risk attending.

That same weekend, November 2-4, at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa, the La Jolla Writers' Conference goes on, featuring Ken and a bunch of other writers he doesn't feel like publicizing.

On Saturday, November 10, Mysteries to Die For in Thousand Oaks will host the heretofore mentioned contributors to Hollywood and Crime i.eDick Lochte, Gar Haywood, Gary Phillips, Robert Levinson and Ken. The festivities are scheduled for 1 p.m.

During the Left Coast Crime conference, March 6-9, 2008 in Denver, anyone stalking Ken might find him skulking around the Adam's Mark hotel, or on some Denver golf course attempting to, aided by the altitude, slug a ball 300 yards, or prowling one of the meaner streets in search of the ghost of old Dean Moriarty.
